Dimitris I. Komnakos is an electrical engineer, having received his diploma from National Technical University of Athens in 2005. Since then he is a member of the Mobile Radiocommunications Laboratory of NTUA and he has participated in numerous projects related to studies and measurements of the non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation and quality measurements of telecommunications systems. In 2010 he received his Ph.D. from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA. His dissertation deals with Mechanisms for Resource Management for Modern Mobile Networks beyond 3G. For this PhD thesis he received a grant from the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications, NCSR Demokritos. He has also participated as researcher in two European research projects (FP6 UNITE Project and FP7 HURRICANE Project). He was assistant researcher in a project funded by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology within the framework of PENED '03. He has five publications in prestigious journals, several publications in refereed international conferences and a presentation to the eighth meeting of the activities COST2100, in which he actively participates. He is a member of the TCG and IEEE since 2006.
