Ο Αντώνης Γκότσης έλαβε το δίπλωμα του Ηλεκτρολόγου Μηχανικού και Μηχανικού Υπολογιστών από τη Σχολή ΗΜΜΥ του ΕΜΠ τον Ιούλιο του 2002 και το Διδακτορικό Δίπλωμα στην Επιστήμη του Ηλεκτρολόγου Μηχανικού από το ίδιο ίδρυμα τον Ιούλιο του 2010. Η διδακτορική του διατριβή σχετιζόταν με τεχνικές βελτιστοποίησης εφαρμοζόμενες σε προβλήματα διαχείρισης πόρων σύγχρονων και μελλοντικών δικτύων ραδιοπρόσβασης πέραν της 3ης και 4ης γενιάς. Από τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2002 συνεργάζεται με το Εργαστήριο Κινητών Ραδιοεπικοινωνιών του ΕΜΠ ως Μηχανικός Τηλεπικοινωνιών, συμμετέχοντας σε πλήθος ερευνητικών προγραμμάτων αλλά και έργων σε συνεργασία με τη βιομηχανία. Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν θέματα διαχείρισης ραδιοπόρων σε σύγχρονα συστήματα κινητών επικοινωνιών LTE, συνεργατικές πολύ-κυψελωτές τεχνικές μετάδοσης για μελλοντικά συστήματα LTE/ΙΜΤ-advanced καθώς και ζητήματα εφαρμογής τεχνικών βελτιστοποίησης σε προβλήματα ασυρμάτων επικοινωνιών. Κατά την περίοδο 2006-2010 εργάστηκε ως κύριος ερευνητής στο εθνικό πρόγραμμα ΠΕΝΕΔ-2003 και συμμετείχε ενεργά στην ευρωπαϊκή ερευνητική δράση COST 2100. Έχει 3 δημοσιεύσεις σε διεθνή αναγνωρισμένα περιοδικά με κριτές και πάνω από 10 δημοσιεύσεις σε συνέδρια.
